Is it just because I was so damn tired this morning, or is Depeche Mode's "Never Let Me Down Again" the same song as the theme to The Bugaloos? Both of them had a profound influence on me. And if so, Michael Gore is a friggin' genius!

  1. The Bugaloos? I'm having a powerful flashback to the 70's and sitting on my grandmother's sofa during my annual summer vacation away from Population 1,200. Glued to the TV soaking up Saturday morning cartoons (PlasticMan was a favorite--where is he now when I need him?)and shows like the Bugaloos, Puffenstuff and that show where all those weird furries slid down a slide singing something about bananas. After the days I have at my job--it was great to remember a time when my grandmother drove us around Dallas in her powder blue Lincoln convertible or only having to decide between going swimming or staying in to watch "Beach Blanket Bingo."

Thanks for spurring some great memories, Frankie. xoxox

  2. One banana, two banana, three banana, four
Four bananas make a bunch and so do many more
Over hill and highway the banana buggies go
Comin' up to bring you the Banana Split show

Tra la la tra la la la.

K, love the image of you and Mammy tooling around in the convertible.

Happy Birthday Sophie. Have a peanut butter kong on me.
